This weeks Artist Feature we introduce new upcoming singer/songwriter Charles Petty. It’s great to hear new artists using their gifts to reach the masses with a positive influence and message – even better when the music is great too! Find out more about Charles…
Sabrina Hilaire is a London based Gospel artist. She is a also songwriter, producer and vocal coach.
Sabrina has certainly been through tough times in her life but now thankfully through God she uses those experiences to minister healing in her songs, specifically to broken Women. Her EP titled ‘Gods Music’ recieved excellent reviews; with sultry, dynamic vocals, head bopping beats, and lyrics that will reach every area of your life. It has been described as an “ECLECTIC BLEND OF GOSPEL”.
Jarvis Jenks is a 26 year old independent artist born and raised in the slums of Louisiana. He’s now taking his music to another level after leaving the secular Hip Hop genre back in 2015 and converting his life to Christianity. He started going to church and God spoke to him through the Word.
It’s so refreshing to hear a new up and coming artist creating the music they love to do and doing it their way. When music is made out of purpose and passion then in my book it’s definitely worth a listen.
Regardless of what’s happening in the mainstream music industry and whatever the latest regurgitated sound being pumped out to the masses is, if you can still sound relevant but have a deeper message to send within your music then it’s a winning combination. That’s exactly how I felt when I first came across Nathan Jarrelle. Awesome music and wholesome content.
We caught up with Nathan so let’s hear from the man himself as he shares his story so far…
Sometimes social media really does have its benefits because every now and again you stumble across something that makes you stop and think; this is awesome! That is exactly what happened when I came across the Natty Art Uk Facebook page. Of course, seeing the skills being displayed I had to get in touch and learn more about this talented artist.
Nathaniel Goulbourne, is the face of Natty Art Uk (website nattyart.gallery). He is an up and coming Artist/Illustrator, illustrator of books, comics, posters and design logos with his own unique style of Artwork to offer. Here we talk to Natty and get to know a little bit about his history and the work he does.

It’s important to be positive in the world we live in today and that’s what I like about J-Chief. His music is filled with positivity and hope, faith inspired lyrics and and a message of encouragement to his listeners. Check out his bio below…
J-Chief is a rap artist, musician, song writer and a poet, who has been performing music from a young age; his style of music is Gospel. During this journey he has collaborated and worked with various artists such as musicians, producers and singers, which has brought him to the release of his first CD titled “A New Beginning” and his second CD titled Anointing To The Streets:
I seem to be coming across quite a few spoken word artists lately and I have to say I’ve been impressed! It’s refreshing to hear hearts being worn on sleeves again when we’ve become so numb to the banal subject matters spewed out in ‘mainstream media.’
Spoken Light is one such artist. Get to know him because what he’s got to say is worth hearing!
Spoken Light aka Steven McLeish (sometimes know as Steve McLeish) is a spoken word artist & inspirational speaker based in Scotland who uses his gifts to reach this generation with the message of Jesus Christ.
New Ep from Rain Freedom. The Big Tall Wish combines lyrical poetry and boom bap hip hop. Experimental touches on the beats make things instantly infectious with vocal samples from the Twilight Zone keeping you engaged. The lyrical content is as always with Rain Freedom heartfelt and drawn from her own life experiences. I love this new musical offering from the London rapper, I just wish there were more tracks on the EP!
Check it out and support great music.
If like me you’re new to the spoken word/poetry genre then here is an artist you need to check out to kick start your new spoken word experience! You can’t help but sit back and listen when you hear Myriam perform her work. Thoughts are provoked and emotions brought to the surface like a session with a psychiatrist! I mean this of course with every positivity, it’s refreshing to explore an art form with so much depth. I’m excited to learn and hear more!
