Artist Feature: Illustrate

Recently I stumbled across an artist who had shared his album on a Facebook post and I gave it a listen. I might have been a bit slow on the uptake about this artist but when I heard a few of the tracks I thought this is seriously dope! My kind of Boom Bap beats laced with lyrics of depth and spiritual truth. Read more about Illustrate below…

Artist Feature: Kapes

Kapes began rapping in 1998 at the age of 10. He went on to perform at many venues, including Birmingham’s o2 Academy and also collaborated with brother of 2pac, Mopreme Shakur of Thug Life. In 2015 Kapes became a born again Christian and now includes his faith in his music. Since this transition, Kapes has released two EP’s and his full length album is currently in the making.

Check out the video for the inspired track ‘Shroud Of Turin’ here:

We’ll keep you update with any new releases from Kapes and in the meantime connect with him via his social media (links below)

Artist Feature: Nathan Jarrelle

It’s so refreshing to hear a new up and coming artist creating the music they love to do and doing it their way. When music is made out of purpose and passion then in my book it’s definitely worth a listen.
Regardless of what’s happening in the mainstream music industry and whatever the latest regurgitated sound being pumped out to the masses is, if you can still sound relevant but have a deeper message to send within your music then it’s a winning combination. That’s exactly how I felt when I first came across Nathan Jarrelle. Awesome music and wholesome content.

We caught up with Nathan so let’s hear from the man himself as he shares his story so far…

Funky Boom Bap 90’s Hip Hop Beat – Goals

This weeks new beat is a Funky Boom Bap 90’s Hip Hop Beat called “Goals”

Check it out below:

90s Funky Boom Bap Hip-Hop Beat – 123

This weeks new beat is called “123”
It’s an old school boom bap beat reminiscent of something you’d hear in early 90’s Hip Hop. Funky bassline, some wah guitar hits and rhodes keys in there.
As always, I’d love to hear what you do with the beat! If it’s hot we’ll put in on the website.

It’s as easy as …123 ! It really is so click the link below and get your bars ready!

ATCQ x Funky Boom Bap Type Beat – Heart On Your Sleeve

This weeks new beat is called “Heart On Your Sleeve”
It’s a funky Boom Bap beat reminiscent of something you’d hear in early 90’s Hip Hop.
It’s got a spacey/dreamy chorus section which lets the beat breakdown for a while before it gets back to the funk! I called it “Heart On Your Sleeve” because that’s what real Hip Hop (or any genre for that matter) is all about… Getting what’s on your heart out over a beat! Whether it be political, social or emotional as long as it’s heartfelt then people will relate and connect with you as an artist.
Anyway, I’d love to hear what you’ve got and what you do with the beat!

A Tribe Called Quest Type Beat – Off The Dome

This new beat is a Funky Old School Hip Hop Beat called “Off The Dome” It’s called that because it’s perfect to knock out a little freestyle over, just sit back chill out and let the bars flow!

It’s got a funky jazz type bassline with some little flutes runs. Add some punchy snares with drums that have plenty of swing and you’ve got a 90’s style boom bap beat that you can’t resist!

New Beat. Wu Tang x Immortal Technique Hip Hop Beat – The Day Is Here

Hey guys. We’re now uploading new beats every Friday to Youtube. Here’s the latest one. It’s an Old School Boom Bap Beat (no surprise there lol!)

It’s got that Wu Tang kind of feel to it with a few of those Shaolin chops they liked to use! Also I’ve added some flutes in there which I think gives it a similar vibe to some of Immortal Technique beats.

Have a listen below and if you’re feeling it give it a thumbs up. Peace!
